II. In accordance with instructions from Major-General Steele, commanding expeditionary forces, Brig. Gen. William A. Pile will proceed to Mobile, Ala., in command of the escort, Forty-seventh and Seventy-third Regiments, ordered for the steamers Iberville, Thomas, and Laurel Hill.
